BIOGRAPHY

Nancy Walsch was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming and has always felt deeply connected to a profound sense of spiritually. She began, at the young age of sixteen, earnestly questioning the meaning of life and death after her brother's suicide.

Nancy Walsch

The loss of her twenty-four year old brother initiated her in-depth search into what happens after death. She read everything that was available on Near Death experiences, Reincarnation, Mediumship, and the use of Hypnosis to access memories of past lives and the time in between lives. It was Raymond Moody's first book entitled Life after Life that paved the way regarding this topic.

Nancy's spiritual path led her to nursing and she earned an Associate Degree in the field and later her Bachelor's from the University of Wyoming. Professionally she has been licensed as a Registered Nurse for twenty-two years. She spent the first ten years in Obstetrics and medical clinics. The rest of her experience was in the Home Health Field, and teaching nursing at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon.

In the early years of her nursing career, Nancy married and gave birth to two boys who today are wonderful sons. Both married with lovely wives, Paul, a Marine, has two adorable children and AJ is successful in the computer and communication field. The marriage to their father ended in divorce but with that loss came a delving deeper into her spirituality and personal development. With a more positive outlook on life, she continued her journey and ten years later met a radio talk show host named Neale Donald Walsch. They were married in 1995, and later that year Hampton Roads published Neale's first book, “Conversations with God’.

Nancy and Neale co-founded the non-profit CwG Foundation, of which she was the President and a member of the Board of Trustees. As her responsibilities increased and her partnering with Neale demanded more of her time, she had less time to give to her nursing career. After several years of doing both she let go of nursing and put all of her energies into the Foundation. She also co-facilitated four to five retreats a year, traveled extensively with Neale around the world, participated in giving workshops, attended lectures, and often spent thirty-two weeks a year away from home!

Attendees of the retreats have expressed appreciation to Nancy for the insights and inspirations gained from her guided mediations. This is just one memorable experience that Nancy found amazing. It took place during a five-day retreat. “A man's brother had been murdered ten years earlier. This man had come to the retreat with a lot of anger and was still anguishing over his brother's death, and the fact that his brother's assailant had never been found. He said that during the meditation, his brother appeared and reached out and touched his heart. At that moment, all his pain and anger left him and he knew that his brother was OK. It had quite a profound affect on him, and later he shared it with the whole group, which helped and touched others in ways I will never know.’ A recorded version with three of these meditations is found on the CD Your Secret Place.

To further her abilities, Nancy trained with Dr. Brian Weiss to assist people in accessing past lives. In addition, she is now training in Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) and Hypnotherapy. She plans to offer her own workshops, using this training and her years of study to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for personal self-development, accessing one's memories of past lives, time between lives, and even possible future lives.

Nancy feels that her nursing experience, especially the teaching in the college, and working with families in their homes, helped prepare her later on for working with all the people who came to the retreats. Her years of personal development, and research on her spiritual interests have helped lead up to all this.

In 2003 Nancy and Neale separated amicably and she continues to live in Ashland, where she remains a member on the CwG Board of Trustees. When her schedule permits she still loves to conduct guided meditations at the Foundations on-going retreats.

While traveling the world, Nancy learned the joys of photography and has an interesting collection of people from all walks of life and places that include Russia and China. Watch for some of her photos that will soon be displayed on this web site.

Writing continues to be a growing passion for Nancy. She has received inspired writings intuitively over the last eight years. Passages of these and other favorite spiritual topics will be found in the writings by Nancy section.

Nancy is passionate about her family and friends and enjoys a close relationship with her parents, who are well and living in Casper, Wyoming. Debrorah Thornally, a dear friend of hers, shares that “Nancy is gentle, kind, and soft-spoken with a genuine interest and concern for the welfare of others. A loving heart and attentive listener she will welcome you and embrace you completely in the warmth of her healing spiritual arms.”
